Abstract

The species Spiculopteragia trinitatis (Nematoda: Trichostrongyloidea) parasite was found in marsh deer from the flood basin of Paraná River (Sérgio Motta hydroelectric plant), Brazil. Eighteen abomasal contents were studied and 18,310 specimens of this worm were found. For identification of the species, the bursa copulatrix morphology, spicules structures, synlophes morphology and morphometrics ratio were analyzed. Descriptors of infection were also determined.
